Our Managing Partner of Leks&Co wrote an article titled “Nusantara: Kewenangan Dalam Pertanahan” as published in property section of Propertynbank.com.

One of the special authorities is regarding the land. The law provides that land acquisition in the new capital will be through the release of forest area and land acquisition. For land acquisition, the government can use land acquisition for the public interest as stipulated under law of 2012 or business-to-business procurement. As the regional head, the Head of the Authority (Kepala Otorita) will issue a location determination for land acquisition. The Authority (Otorita) has the right to obtain the right to use and/or right to manage. The Authority has the right to bind itself with any individual or legal entity on an agreement regarding land right in the capital of Nusantara.
