Early September 2022, the Minister of Communication and Informatics said that the House would soon approve the draft bill on personal data protection of Representatives.
One consideration of this draft is human rights protection, specifically under Article 28G paragraph (1) of the Constitution 1945 which essentially stipulates that every person is entitled to personal protection. The draft emphasizes that it only regulates the general standard on personal data protection, electronically or manually, and provides an opportunity for other sectors to regulate the same.
